Cracked alloy wheels need proper assessment. Where the location, condition and wheel construction are suitable, professional welding can repair localised damage before any cosmetic finish is restored.
The damaged area is inspected to understand the crack, surrounding material and any signs of previous work. Suitable repairs require preparation of the crack, controlled welding using an appropriate alloy process, and finishing of the repaired area. Other damage may need addressing first or may make the wheel unsuitable for welding.

Some cracks should not be welded. Location, number of cracks, wheel deformation and previous repairs influence the decision. We do not treat welding as an automatic fix.
Why cracks need prompt attention

Welding before refinishing
