Precision CNC diamond cutting

A sharp, factory-style face recreated with controlled machining and careful finishing.

What this service does

Diamond-cut wheels have a distinctive bright face with fine machining lines beneath a protective clear coat. Our CNC process removes a controlled amount of material from suitable wheel faces to refresh that appearance.

The wheel is assessed before any machining begins. Preparation removes the previous finish and addresses appropriate cosmetic damage. The wheel is then mounted on specialist CNC equipment, where the face profile is measured and a fine layer is precisely cut away. A compatible protective finish is applied as the final stage.

When it may be suitable

  • Cloudy, peeling or tired clear coat on suitable diamond-cut wheels
  • Light face corrosion and cosmetic marks that can be removed safely
  • Restoring a clean two-tone, factory-style wheel appearance
  • Refreshing individual wheels or a complete matching set
A diamond-cut wheel cannot be machined indefinitely. Previous cuts, damage and remaining material all affect suitability, so every wheel needs assessment first.

Why the assessment matters

CNC diamond cutting removes metal from the face. That makes accurate setup and a suitability check essential. Wheels with significant damage, too many previous cuts or unsuitable profiles may need a different refurbishment route.

Looking after a diamond-cut finish

Use a pH-neutral wheel cleaner, avoid harsh acids and do not hold a pressure-washer nozzle close to the wheel edge. Cleaning brake dust regularly helps protect the clear coat. Stone chips and kerb damage should be addressed before moisture spreads beneath the finish.
