Precision wheel straightening

Specialist assessment and controlled correction for suitable bent or buckled alloy wheels.

What this service does

Potholes and impacts can leave an alloy wheel bent or buckled. Depending on the location and severity, specialist straightening may help return a suitable wheel closer to its correct shape.

The wheel is inspected and measured to identify deformation and other damage. Where straightening is appropriate, controlled pressure is applied with specialist equipment while the wheel is monitored. The goal is careful correction rather than forcing a result that could compromise the wheel.

When it may be suitable

  • Suitable wheels affected by pothole or road-impact damage
  • Visible inner-rim deformation or a suspected buckle
  • Wheels that need run-out checked before refurbishment
  • Assessing whether repair or replacement is the responsible route
Not every bent wheel should be straightened. Severe deformation, cracking, previous repairs or damage in critical areas may make replacement the safer option.

Signs a wheel may be bent

Possible signs include visible deformation, vibration, repeated loss of air or a wheel that does not rotate evenly. These symptoms can also have other causes, so diagnosis and inspection matter.

Repair or replacement?

The answer depends on severity, location, wheel design and evidence of previous repairs. We will explain when straightening is appropriate and when a replacement wheel should be considered instead.
